This policy describes how DuoReels retains data. We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy and as required by law.
1. General principle
We retain data as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service and to meet legitimate business, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, and legal obligations. We do not promise exact deletion dates for every record.
2. Account data
Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then deleted or anonymized subject to legal-retention needs.
3. Project and content data
Retained while relevant to your account; removable through the Service, with brief persistence in backups.
4. Generated assets
Private generated assets associated with your account may be removed on deletion. Shared reusable assets may be retained (de-identified) because they are part of the platform’s reusable library.
5. Uploads and logos
Retained while in use and removable by you; brief persistence in backups.
6. Billing metadata
Stripe identifiers, amounts, currency, and status are retained as needed for accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention obligations. No card data is stored.
7. Affiliate records
Affiliate, commission, and payout records are retained for program integrity, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes, with personal identifiers minimized where appropriate.
8. Security events and audit logs
Security events and admin audit logs are append-only and retained for security and compliance investigations (default security-event retention is approximately 180 days unless a longer period is required).
9. Referral click data
Referral click records are retained for a limited period for attribution and fraud review (default approximately 365 days).
10. Privacy requests
Records of privacy (export/deletion) requests are retained as proof that we handled them.
11. Deleted / anonymized accounts
When a deletion request is processed, we anonymize the profile, revoke sessions, opt the account out of marketing, and disable it, while retaining minimized financial, audit, and affiliate-ledger records where required.
12. Legal, fraud, and accounting retention
Certain records are retained where necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements. We do not guarantee deletion of financial, fraud, or audit records on request.
13. Backups
Deleted data may persist in encrypted or routine backups for a limited time before being overwritten or purged.
